Town are delighted to announce that centre half Ben Trafford has committed to the Club for the coming season. Local lad ‘Traff’ has spent the past few seasons at Fulwood Amateurs has been long term target for the Manager.

“Bens a top lad who I’ve been after for a couple of years to be honest. He’s well known to everyone at the Club being local and will make the step up easily in my opinion. There was interest from other Clubs as well so I’m delighted that he’s decide to continue with his football at Longridge. For a young player he’s a great talker and organised, good on the ball, and has a competitive streak in him. I can only see him getting better and I’m looking forward to watching him in a red shirt.”

Traff himself was pleased to get the move done in time for the season opening on Saturday. “Yes, I’m buzzing to be honest. I know a lot of the lads and have watched Longridge quite a bit over the past few seasons. I’m keen to improve myself as a player and the Manager has a great record and reputation of working with young players. I’ve had a great few years at Fulwood but want to play at as high a level as I can and am looking forward to showing the supporters what I can do.”
