Longridge hosted Morecambe in their first pre-season game of 2025.

Morecambe fans were nothing less than a complete credit to their club and to themselves.

We even had some lovely comments from Morecambe fans about our setup, friendly volunteers and club itself, with some saying they would return during the season.

As a thanks to the incredible Morecambe fans, we are offering free entry to Shrimps fans for our home game against Wythenshawe on Saturday 9th August at 3pm.

It's a huge game following on from our 8-1 win over Pilkington in the FA Cup on Tuesday night.

Morecambe FC is currently facing perhaps the worst time in it's history, extinction itself even.

They are currently suspended from the National League and are unable to play any games due to the current ownership problems.

It breaks our hearts to see such a great club going through what no club should ever go through.

In time like these, we believe that football should come together as one, to unite against this sort of thing.

We hope to see a quick and swift solution to the issues faced at the Mazuma stadium, until then, Morecambe fans are more than welcome to join us at Inglewhite Road free of charge, as we look to continue our unbeaten start to the season.
