Pre-season confirmed

Town announce 2025 pre-season schedule

We are buzzing to confirm our pre-season schedule ahead of the 2025/26 season.

We have a bumper EIGHT pre-season fixtures on offer at Inglewhite Road this summer.... and that's not even including the 2025 George Melling Tournament.

We begin with our long awaited return to PR3 to host National League North side Chorley on Tuesday 24th June.

The Magpies were close to being a National League side at this point, but fell to a play-off final defeat to Scunthorpe United.

A reminder that both sides in this game will battle it out for the Mayoral Cup, in aid of Ribble Valley Dementia and LTFC (Juniors).

We then make the short 20 minute trip to Feniscowles & Pleasington FC as striker Liam Atkinson returns to his previous club in Blackburn on Thursday 26th June.

It's then our third and final away game as we travel to First Division North side Nelson on the first day of July.

Another club who was dangerously close to promotion following a 2nd place finish in the division just below us, but fell to a narrow semi final defeat to the eventual play-off winners in Euxton Villa.

After that it's time for the 2025 George Melling Tournament.

A reminder that ourselves, Chipping, Hurst Green and Fulwood Amateurs will fight it out for this year's edition over the course of two days (5th/6th July) at Inglewhite.

Both days games will kick off at 1 and 4pm.

We then follow it up by welcoming National League side Morecambe.

The Shrimps narrowly defeated Town 1-0 at Inglewhite Road last year, but unfortunately recently suffered relegation from Sky Bet League Two.

They'll be looking for a big bounce back, and it all begins at Inglewhite Road on Tuesday 8th July at 7:45pm.

We then continue at home until the league season begins, as we host Bamber Bridge on Saturday 12th July at 3pm.

Brig took home last year's edition of the George Melling Tournament and will return to Inglewhite Road again.

Fellow Northern Prem side Lancaster City then travel over as both sides continue 25/26 preparations on Saturday 19th July.

Perhaps they'll be after some revenge after the LFA Cup quarter final game in January.

Our friends over at Bolton Wanderers will then travel to Town four days later at 7pm.

Our pre-season then comes to a close on Thursday 24th July at 7:45pm when we host Northern Prem West side Clitheroe.

Another side that Town bested in the LFA Cup last season that may be looking to get their own back.

Either way, it'll be fantastic for another busy summer at PR3 to face these fantastic sides and welcome you all back home.

We hope you're all as excited as us.
