The Opposition

The Ammies won the Division One South last season and have carried that momentum brilliantly into the Premier Division this season as the look to kick on and push for promotion once again.

They sit in a play off position and show no signs of decline with five wins in their past six matches.

Striker Bryan Ly has scored 20 goals in 32 matches, helping propel Wythenshawe to the league's second top goalscorers with 80 so far.

They also have four games in hand over their fellow promotion chasers.

With a 4-1 win over Longridge in the reverse fixture, Town will be keen for a more positive one this time round.

Team News

The Ridge have completed an abundance of even more new signings.

Firstly, full back Thaddeus Harp has joined from Macclesfield. The American joins with a ton of experience in the American High School football system.

Midfielder Sebastian Bailey has joined from AFC Fylde as he joins back up with Brett McGovern.

Both of these lads made their debut in last weekend's defeat to league leaders Wythenshawe Town.

Ahead of this weekend's clash with their neighbours, Wythenshawe FC. A couple of other new lads have joined Ashey's men.

Kian Hope has also joined from AFC Fylde with the defender set to help bolster the backline.

Last but not least, Longridge have also brought in Obadiaru Odaro, who has experience in the ranks of Kendal Town.

As a final piece of news, it looks as though Matt Van Wyk's season could be in doubt.

The exciting striker joined in early February, scoring in his debut.

However in last Saturday's defeat, he pulled up with a hamstring injury after just five minutes after chasing a long ball.

We're all hoping it's not as serious as is being feared.
