The Opposition

Longridge are facing Stockport at a pretty bad times.

They are coming off the back of 6-0, 2-0 and 2-0 victories respectively.

These three previous games have moved Paul Turnbull's men up to 10th.

Top scorer George Kattah has played no small part, bagging 18 times already.

However there was a six different goalscorers in their last game.

The two meetings between the sides last season was two goal crazy draws, in which Stockport came from two goals behind to draw 3-3 with Town at the Sports Village.

Town then came from two goals behind to draw 2-2 with Ryan McLean rattling the crossbar from 30+ yards out in the 93rd minute.

The two very attacking sides go at it again this weekend.

Team News

With injuries still rife in the squad, AFC Fylde loanee Toby Coar made his debut at the back.

He spent time in the squad at the beginning of the season, but injury and his dual registration status kept him out of the XI.

Goalkeeper Kai Crowe got his first MOTM in the Town goal on Tuesday night.

Defender Ben Trafford is also looking at up to six weeks out, with Liam Atkinson also missing the last few weeks due to a hamstring issue.

Ryan McLean is another key player on the injury list too.

However on the positive side, Luke Smith captained the Ridge for the first time on Tuesday night.

A proud moment for the young midfielder who has now been here since he was 17.
