The Ridge continue their pre-season with a visit from Northern Premier League side Lancaster City.

Town have had a week's break from action following a defeat to Bamber Bridge and are now raring to go again.

Pound for the ground will be back on sale again meaning you can win up to £200 from our half time draw depending on the number of entrees.

A reminder to enter before half time from the bar or any of our pound for the ground sellers around Inglewhite Road.

In regards to parking, spaces on the car park are available on a first come first serve basis, unless a disabled spot is required and then it can be reserved.

We would like to kindly remind any travelling spectators to park respectfully and with Longridge residents in mind.

The Opposition

The first thing that comes to mind, is Town's mid-season victory over the Blues in January.

Liam Atkinson scored at the death to send us the penalties in the LFA Cup quarter final clash with Lancaster, for Town to win 4-3 on penalties to set up a semi final against Southport.

Lancaster themselves finished 18th in the Northern Prem last season, and have already managed pre-season victories over Lostock St Gerard's, Storeys of Lancaster, and Kendal Town.

Attacker Nic Evangelinos bagged against Town in January so he's an obvious danger man.

However we're not forgetting the likes of former Preston North End midfielder Aaron Bennett who has notched previously against Longridge.

Former Bury and Kendal attacker Tom Kilifin should also give Lee Ashcroft's reds a lot to think about.

However, as shown below, the two sides have served up some very tight contests despite the two division difference.
