The Ridge are looking to arrest a difficult run of form.

Despite some strong performances, Town are staring a fifth defeat in a row in the face.

Longridge didn't play during the week, after torrential rain saw Tuesday night's home game against Padiham called off.

The game has since been rearranged for Tuesday 31st March at 7:45pm.

The Opposition

Last year was a turning point for Irlam.

They spent the best part of six years mulling around the bottom half of the Premier Division.

That was until last season, when they made a burst for the play-offs.

The Blues came 7th, just two places short.

Manager John Main revolution has carried on into this season.

They sit 6th, just one point off Padiham in 5th.

As such, every game is a must win for them now.

John Johnston is the obvious man to keep an eye on.

The winger scored one of his 23 goals in the reverse fixture, bending in a beauty from the edge of the box to open the scoring.

However, Town came back to win that game 5-1.

This is proving to be their heaviest defeat of the season, they haven't lost much since mind, bouncing back from that defeat with a 5-2 win over West Didsbury & Chorlton.

An injury to their star striker Declan Daniels hasn't helped, but they've still scored over 100 goals this season.

In fairness, just 68 goals conceded is a record to be commended.

Team News

The Ridge will be without Mitch Marshall due to suspension.

Town's team is so thin to the point where manager Lee Ashcroft had to name himself on the bench to fill the squad.

It was the first time in over a decade that Ashy was involved in an LTFC 16 man squad.

Town will be looking to bolster that frontline.

There is thought to be no change in the injury list.
