Longridge head down the M6 to face Congleton Town this weekend.

Town go into the game on the back of a brilliant 6-1 win over Barnoldswick Town in the extra preliminary round of the FA Cup last weekend.

Goals from Paul Turner (3), Finlay Sinclair-Smith (2) and Dan Birch secured a preliminary round tie away at Charnock Richard next Saturday.

Before that though, Lee Ashcroft takes his side to Cheshire to face Congleton Town, who finished third in the NWCFL Premier Division last season and were Macron Cup semi-finalists.

Congleton were knocked out of the FA Cup after a 1-1 draw took their tie against Westfields to a replay, which they went on to lose 4-1.

Congleton will be looking for their first win of the season after recording a draw and a loss in their opening two games.

Admission prices for the game are as follows:

Matchday programmes will also be available for £2.
