Town are looking to make it two wins in two games, with the visit of relegation threatened City of Liverpool.

Pound for the ground will be back on sale, a massive thank you for your support on the season long club fundraiser.

The Opposition

Following relegation to the NWCFL last summer, the Purps didn't have the worst start.

Unfortunately, that start now seems a long time ago, with the club seemingly in freefall.

With 142 goals conceded and 9 points off safety, the escape will need to start now.

However, manager Richard Brodie scored last weekend as his side came from two goals down to draw 2-2 with Cheadle Town at home despite being down to ten men.

Former Longridge Town man Seb Bailey scored the other.

It was their first point gained in over four months.

In the reverse fixture though, COL scored two equalisers as Town led the game twice with goals from Will Procter and Luke Smith not enough.

Former Skelmersdale United striker Alex Preistley had scored three goals since joining in November, meaning he is their current top scorer who is still on their books.

However, he will be suspended after being sent off against Cheadle.

Town will need to be wary, COL will not just roll over given their relegation worries.

Could this be a banana skin? Absolutely.

Team News

Both Paul Turner and Aaron Hewitt have returned to the club for the remainder of the 2025/26 season.

Both played a massive role in Tuesday night's victory, with the former assisting the opening goal and the latter doing well in the build-up.

They also played their roles brilliantly overall.

With Ryan McLean potentially set to the miss the rest of the season, it's important.

However, Ben Fletcher is now back from suspension.

Luke Smith's three game suspension will begin in place though.
