Town's fortunes have finally turned around

Following months of frustrating results despite good performances, we are now in search of a third straight win.

This comes after a win over Squires Gate and a cupset away at Lancaster City in the quarter final of the LFA Cup.

On that topic, we have been draw at home to Southport in the semi final of the LFA Cup on the week commencing the 3rd March.

We now welcome Cheadle Town to Inglewhite Road for the second time this season.

The Opposition

Cheadle sit 15th after a mixed season.

They've gone from high highs such as winning four games in a row and scoring 17 in the process, to losing three games in a row 1-0 a few weeks later.

However, they are now looking for a third win in four games after most recently overcoming Burscough.

As mentioned Jake Davies' side have already played Town away.

It came as both sides second game of the season as goals from Matty Van Wyk and Ryan McLean saw Longridge win 2-0 in the FA Cup extra preliminary round.

They did however get their revenge a few months later as they bested Town 3-1 in late November 2024.

Top scorer Darren McKnight has 11 goals whilst Kaleb Parkinson was probably the main problem causer in that defeat that remains on Cheadle's books.

To top things off, they have only conceded 44 goals, the lowest in the division all the way up to 5th.
