Following a return to winning ways, Town look to recapture that early season form that had them in the top five.

They now face a side who have had a similar start to the season, quick out of the blocks but stuttering recently.

The Opposition

AFC Liverpool, formed in 2008 by Liverpool FC fans frustrated by the never ending greediness of Europe's top elite, are a massive member of the 'affordable football community'.

The Little Reds currently groundshare with Marine AFC of the National League North, but on Tuesday, Inglewhite Road will be their venue.

As mentioned they had a stunning start to the 24/25 season, winning four out of their first five matches.

They've picked up some fantastic results in recent weeks but suffered a 6-2 defeat to newly promoted Stockport Town on Saturday.

Winger Caleb Jones has caught the eye since joining in the summer, with 6 goals already.

However, their top goalscorer is Elliott Taylor.

AFC secured his signature in the summer from Litherland REMYCA, coming off the back of a brace against Longridge.

With Town potentially able to leapfrog AFC on Tuesday, it makes it a massive game for both sides.

It is early doors in the season however.

Form Guide

Longridge:
Position: 7th

AFC Liverpool:

Team News

Unfortunately, there's no positive news to report on the injury front.

Jack Anderton will be assessed ahead of Tuesday after hobbling off with a reoccurring issue with his ribs.

Tom McCann is set for an operation in late November for an MCL injury sustained in pre-season.

The visit of AFC will see Jordan Dainty face his former side, following his departure in the summer to rejoin the Ridge.
