Town take on Abbey Hey with both sides looking for a bounce back.

Longridge could return to the play-off places with a win, with the boys in red still in the hunt for the promotion spots, way clear of the bottom half and it's habitants.

Whilst The Hey look to climb into 10th following their solid start.

The Opposition

Founded in 1902, they will be one of the oldest sides to play in the Premier Division next season. However, they are no strangers to the Premier Division following their relegation in the 2018/19 season, swapping places with Longridge in the process.

Abbey Hey have had a relatively satisfactory start to life in the Premier Division.

Despite a tough start, losing four out of their first five matches, the Hey stuck together and won their first game of the season 3-1 away at Squires Gate.

They seemingly kicked on from this, seeing high scoring victories over Pilkington and Colne in the coming weeks.

Former Longridge Town favourite Moses Yoak is currently plying his trade in the Abbey Hey midfield, whilst attacker Saul Henderson leads their line on six goals.

They now sit 14th following from their promotion as play-off winners of the North West Counties Division One South.

This weekend will mark the first of ten away trips to Manchester.

Team News

Town are still the only side yet to draw a game in the Premier Division.

Ashcroft's young guns sit sandwiched between FC St Helens and FC Isle of Man with all three sides on 24 points and chasing the play-offs.

A win at the weekend would do Town the world of good in the hunt to end the little blip in form.

Striker Liam Atkinson will be looking to add to his impressive run of games with a goal, with the attacker on four goals in his last three games.
