Proposals led by Steel Work Construction Limited (SWC), with support from Community Gateway Association (CGA), are set to add affordable housing and and a new sporting centre for Longridge.

They are driven by two goals: equal access to sport and homes for all.

The site for Longridge Sports Village is located just north-west of the town, close to the existing community and easily accessed via Chipping Lane and Inglewhite Road. Its location makes it a natural extension of Longridge, with everything within walking distance.

The Sports Village will give people of all ages and abilities the chance to stay active and healthy, with greater opportunities for participation.

Their proposals will deliver:
220 new homes, all 100% affordable.
6 Padel courts.
A new pitch and clubhouse for Longridge Town FC.
A 5k parkrun route.
Junior 3g pitches.
Dedicated land for a gymnastics facility.
Indoor cricket nets.
A permanent home for Longridge Town Juniors FC.
