Longridge Town are pleased to sign 25-year-old Josh Burden after an impressive full pre-season with the Ridge.
The Geordie shot-stopper arrives following a spell with Walney Island last season and first caught the eye by keeping a clean sheet for Pause United FC against Longridge Town in an early pre-season trial game. Since then, Josh has gone from strength to strength, earning his place in the squad with impressive performances throughout pre-season.
A commanding presence between the sticks, Josh has impressed with his shot-stopping ability, communication and determination. Manager Ashey believes he has fully earned this opportunity:
"Josh has done really well for us in pre-season. He is an excellent talker and good shot-stopper. He is keen to improve and play at this higher level and has been the standout keeper of the lads we have had on trial.
I am really pleased for him. He has shown an unbelievable level of commitment over the last 6 weeks and has earned his opportunity. He is a big character, a great changing room lad, and I really want him to enjoy the step up and do really well this season."
Josh's commitment and attitude have made him a deserved addition to the squad, and everyone is looking forward to seeing him develop.
Welcome Josh!
