Longridge Town can confirm that flying wing back Brandon Lee has today joined NWCFL leaders Macclesfield for an undisclosed fee.
Manager Lee Ashcroft was philosophical with his views on the move, “I’m pleased for Brandon because it’s a good opportunity for him. He’s another young lad who we’ve brought in, worked with, and improved as a player and that is a massive part of what we are about at this Club.
“We’ve probably got one of the smallest budgets in this League so we have to work with the players we have, and improve them.”
“I’m pleased for Brandon because he’s listened, learnt, worked hard and earned himself a great chance at moving up the football ladder. He was under contract as well so the Club has seen some reward for their efforts , which isn’t always the case when a player moves on.”
“ He moves with our best wishes and I really feel that Macclesfield, who have been very good with us all the way through the past week, have an absolute diamond of a player who could well go on to play at a much higher level. I just need to find another one now! “
Everyone at Longridge Town would like to thank Brandon for all his efforts at the club and wishes him all the very best with his move to Macclesfield and all his future endeavours.
