Marshall agreed to sign for Longridge in July 2022 from AFC Blackpool and has since made himself an integral part of Ashcroft's side making 45 appearances in his first year. The young right back won both the most improved player and the committee player of the year award following a fantastic first season.

He bagged his first goal in a 6-0 demolition of Skelmersdale United where he got proceedings underway. The flying full back also won the March 2024 goal of the month for his emphatic volley against Padiham on 2023/24 Groundhopping day.

Mitch finished the 23/24 season on an astonishing 9 goals and 5 assists from right back, earning himself 3 man of the match awards in the process.
