FA Cup to visit the Mike Riding Ground

FA Cup trophy to visit the MRG as the Longridge Town gets ready to make history and compete in the competition for the first time.

To have the FA Cup at our ground for the Club’s first FA Cup game in it’s history is going to be a once in a lifetime experience.

Town will welcome Barnoldswick Town to the MRG on Saturday 10th August for the FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round.

Prior to kick-off the trophy will be on display ahead of Town’s historic first-ever involvement in the competition.

The trophy will be in position for supporters to see, as well as photo opportunities with Longridge set to be gripped by FA Cup fever.

Speaking ahead of the occasion manager Lee Ashcroft says he’s delighted the cup will be visiting the MRG:

“To have the FA Cup at our ground for the Club’s first FA Cup game in it’s history is going to be a once in a lifetime experience.

“It’s exciting times for us and hopefully the Town will get behind us on the day.

“Having the trophy here will be a fantastic thing for us as a Club and as a Town.”

Tickets for the game are priced as follows:

Adults - £6
Concessions - £4
Under 16s - Free

The winners of the tie on Saturday 10th August will make it through to the Preliminary Round where they will play either Charnock Richard or Lower Breck on Saturday 24th August.
