Allen arrives at the Mike Riding Ground with a fine goalscoring record across a number of division and becomes the latest player to commit to the club ahead of Saturday's season opener.

Speaking on his latest signing manager Lee Ashcroft says:

“Richie is a real bonus for us to be honest, and he’s been great about the place this past couple of weeks. He’s trained with us, he’s signed on, he’s fit and he’ll be in the squad tomorrow for our first game at home to AFC Liverpool.

“We sat down at the end of last season, and we’ve managed to get in pretty much everyone we wanted... but we certainly didn’t plan for someone of Richie’s quality joining us.

“It’s a real coup for the Club, he just wants to get back to enjoying his football. Kieran (Walmsley) has played with him before and has remained in touch, and he knows a few of the lads, so he’s settled in really well."

Adding:

"He’s certainly one that our supporters will enjoy watching, and it gives us a real boost as we look to start strongly in this new League tomorrow.”

Town welcome AFC Liverpool to The MRG tomorrow in the Hallmark Security NWCFL Division One North, with a 3pm kick-off scheduled.
