After winning the First Division North title on Saturday, it meant that Town would be poised to come head to head with the winners of the First Division South.

Rylands clinched the title with two games to spare after beating Stone Old Alleynians 5-0, and they haven’t let standards slip since, having scored six more goals without conceding any in their final two fixtures.

There are many similarities between Town and Warrington based Rylands, with both having won their respective divisions in their first season in the league.

It’s bound to be an entertaining tie, with the two sides having scored 255 league goals between them.

The game will take place at the WEC Group Anchor Ground, the home of AFC Darwen.

Bear right and ground is on the left.
