Town were originally set to end the season as they began it, with a clash against Irlam.

However, due to Tuesday's postponement, the Ridge will now host Squires Gate on Tuesday 23rd April, making that the final game of the 23/24 campaign.

The Opposition

The Silver Street Blues look set for a respectable mid table finish, higher than last season.

Our soon to be hosts raced into a two goal lead in the reverse fixture on the opening day, however a late brace from Sam Olawumi pulled Town back to a 2-2 draw.

Despite this, Irlam are a clearly a very strong side that have caused Ashey's men a lot of trouble in the past.

With goal machine Declan Daniels moving to Bury in December, striker Nicholas Taylor has had to step up to the mark.

His ten goals have been a big help to Irlam as they managed to trouble some of the big boys.

Whilst he would be an obvious pick for one to watch, we'd also like to cast our eyes to Millen Brown, who scored a fantastic brace against Longridge last season, including a 25 yard stunner.

Midfielder Mason Everton has also racked up 9 man of the match awards this season, a club high.

With only one loss in their last six matches, Saturday will no doubt be a tough match as Town look to end a rollercoaster season a high.
